HELL YES! IF you are considering a used Miata, S2000, SLK, or M3/M4, try the Sky or Solstice. the dorky rearview mirror with it's map lights, OnStar buttons, and big housing blocks a lot of the (SMALL) windshield - I'm looking to replace it with a newer, bezeless mirror (like in my CTS). it's a convertible afterall and the sound and feel of the wind is why we bought the car. The radio is RIGHT in front of the shifter.and, like all the gauges, impossible to read. The switches should be on the center instead of requiring user to use the opposite arm/hand to work the switch (if you're sitting in the driver's seat, you use your right hand, reaching over your stomach, to use the window switch - unless, of course, you can contort your left arm.ugh). ![]() I also HATE the location of the power window switches and radio. finding someone qualified to service them is getting harder and harder. We bought a custom set of luggage to make the most of the admittedly small trunk, but this is a sports car/roadster folks - what do you expect? If you need to do grocery shopping for a couple, it's fine, if you have a big family, maybe not the best solution. Don't miss them - they were useless anyway. Some have cupholders between the seats, my old Solstice did, Sky doesn't. Storage - well, this isn't the Sky's strong suit, although there is a glove box, map pockets on the front of both seats (handier than you would ever think.), and a reasonable-sized center console (doesn't lock). Cramped - sure, but I'm 6'3" and it's fine. There is nothing like dropping the top (which cannot really be done from inside … the vehicle, unfortunately, although, if you're nimble you can raise the top from inside the vehicle, you still have to get out to close the backward-hinged trunk) and hitting the road. The 5-speed (from the Chevy Colorado) works much better in the Turbo. Handling is just amazing - immediate and precise. ![]() However, my 2009 Saturn Sky Red Line (2.0 Turbo) is a monster! We had a 2006 Pontiac Solstice with the 2.4 naturally aspirated engine - fun to drive, and we never felt it lacked go-power. ![]()
